Dolly
A young woman fights for survival after being abducted by a deranged figure who wants to raise her as their child.
Inspired by what the Anglo-Americans have termed the "New French Extremity" ("Martyrs") and by the atmosphere of such 1970s classics as "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre", "Dolly" is a slasher movie that is not only unusual and outrageous but also grotesque to the point of being deeply disturbing.
The title role is played by Max the Impaler, a wrestling superstar also known as The Non-Binary Nightmare. The actor creates an unsettling character in this attempt to further develop the genre by pushing the boundaries of horror. With impressive gore effects and a Seann William Scott (Stifler from "American Pie") who is unrecognizable in a role that is completely against type, this is the perfect combination for the most bizarre film of the year.
